BRAXTUS SDN. BHD. (Company No. 201001003351 / 887936-A), trading as Sportsaddict ("we", "us" or "our"), operates the online marketplace at sportsaddictofficial.my (the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (PDPA).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will post the updated version on our website with a new "last updated" date. By using the Platform, creating an account or placing an order, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your information as described in it.

1. Collection of Customer Data

As an online marketplace, we collect information about you when you browse the Platform, create an account, place an order or contact us. This "Customer Data" falls into two types: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.

A. Personal Information

Personal Information is information that identifies you, or that can identify you when combined with other information. It includes:

Identity details: your name and, where you choose to give it, your gender, date of birth, and size or preference selections for products.

Contact and delivery details: your delivery and billing address, mobile number and email address.

Account details: your login credentials, order history, wishlist, reviews and communication preferences.

Transaction records: the products you order, amounts paid, payment status, refunds, returns and customer support messages. Your card number and banking credentials are handled directly by our payment providers and are not stored on our servers.

Device and network data: your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages you visit, referring pages, search terms, and technical logs about how the Platform performs. We use this to keep the Platform secure, fix problems and improve your experience.

Verification information: in limited cases, such as suspected fraud or where the law requires, we may ask you to verify your identity or payment details.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as health information, religious beliefs or political opinions. If we ever need to, we will ask for your explicit consent first.

Information we need: we may ask you to provide or update certain Personal Information. If you do not provide the information we need to process your order, we may not be able to supply the products or services you requested.

Children: the Platform is intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

B. Non-Personal Information

Non-Personal Information is information that does not identify you individually, such as anonymous statistics and aggregated reports about how people use the Platform.

We choose our providers carefully, but we are not responsible for how they handle information that is outside our control.

3. Use of Customer Data

We use Customer Data to:

4. Disclosure and Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share it in the following situations:

Sellers and brands: because we are a marketplace, we share the information needed to fulfil your order, such as your name, delivery address, contact number and order details, with the seller or brand of the products you buy. They may use it only to process your order, provide after-sales support and meet their legal obligations.

Couriers and logistics partners: to deliver your parcels and handle returns.

Payment providers: to process payments and refunds, and to detect and prevent fraud.

Service providers: companies that provide services for us, such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support and marketing tools.

Promotions and contests: if you join a promotion run with a partner, we may share the details you give with that partner as explained when you enter. We will make it clear if your information will be shared.

Affiliates and marketing partners: we may share limited information with our related companies, or with partners whose products you have asked to hear about, where you have given your consent.

Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information where required by law, subpoena or legal process; to assist law enforcement or government authorities; to investigate or enforce our terms; to protect our rights, customers, sellers or the public; or to defend legal claims.

Social login: if you sign up or log in using a social account such as Google or Facebook, we may receive information from that provider as permitted by your settings and its terms. Their privacy policy applies to what they collect.

Advertising: we and our advertising partners may use information about your visits to our Platform to show you relevant ads on other websites and apps, using cookies and similar technologies. You can control this through your cookie settings and browser or device settings.

Overseas transfers: some of our service providers may store or process data outside Malaysia. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected in line with the PDPA.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Marketing and opting out: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We will not sell, rent or trade your email address to unaffiliated third parties without your permission. We follow applicable anti-spam rules.

Access and correction: you have the right to ask us for a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. You can update most details yourself by logging in and editing your profile.

Withdrawing consent and deleting your account: you may withdraw your consent to our use of your Personal Information, or ask us to close your account, by contacting us. Please note that withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services. When we delete information, it is removed from our active systems, but we may keep certain records in secure archives where needed for fraud prevention, legal claims, tax or accounting, or other legal obligations.

Service messages: even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you messages needed to run your account and orders, such as order confirmations, delivery updates, and important notices about our terms or policies. If you later join a promotion or service that requires us to contact you or share your information, your earlier opt-out may not apply to that specific service.

We will respond to your requests within the time required by law. We may need to verify your identity first, and may charge a reasonable fee where the law permits.

6. Protection, Security and Retention of Customer Data

We take the security of your information seriously. We use physical, technical and organisational safeguards to protect it from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. These include encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) when you submit information through our website, secured servers with firewalls, access controls, and regular reviews of our security and data practices.

Only authorised staff, contractors and partners who need the information to do their jobs can access it, and they are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share it with content or information providers without your request or consent. Information is shared only as described in this Privacy Policy.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account by using a strong password and not sharing it. We keep your Personal Information for as long as you have an account with us, as needed to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, and as required for business, tax or legal purposes. We are not responsible for the content, products or services of third parties that we do not provide. We do, however, take reasonable steps to fight spam, fraud and unauthorised transactions on our Platform.
